Events Effects AJAX · 2 — Interact · ~6 min · AJAX and APIs
What is this?
AJAX lets the browser request data without a full page reload. jQuery wraps XMLHttpRequest with helpers that return jqXHR thenables — think URL, method, headers, body, success, failure.
Why should you care?
QueryVerse dashboards feel modern only when panels refresh independently of the whole layout.

Examples include the jQuery 3.7 CDN. Paste into an HTML file or use Run Example to preview.

Run Example »
Edit the code below and click Run to see the result in Toolliyo’s live editor.
What happened?
- Same-origin requests are simplest; cross-origin needs CORS.
- Always plan loading and error UI.
- Prefer JSON APIs over injecting HTML from strangers.
Practice next
- Run the lifecycle list.
- Map each step to a your page widget you know.
- Note where a spinner belongs.
- Sketch a sequence diagram for your team.
- Identify which QueryVerse panel should refresh alone.
Remember
AJAX = async HTTP from JS. jqXHR is thenable. Design success and failure UI.
Panel-first refresh
A Paytm for Business QueryVerse home must update settlements without reloading navigation.
Outcome: The team shares a clear request/response mental model before coding.
