What is this?
siblings() collects peer elements; next()/prev() move one step; nextAll/prevAll go further. Useful for wizard steps and adjacent table cells.
Why should you care?
QueryVerse steppers highlight the current step and clear siblings’ active class.

Run Example »
Edit the code below and click Run to see the result in Toolliyo’s live editor.
What happened?
- next(selector) skips until a match or returns empty.
- siblings(selector) filters peers.
- Do not assume order if CSS flex order differs from DOM order.
Practice next
- Advance through steps.
- Inspect siblings count on the active item.
- Try prev() to go back.
- Build a Back button with prev().
- Disable Next on the last step.
Remember
next/prev move among siblings. siblings lists peers. Guard empty selections.
Checkout stepper
A Nykaa partner QueryVerse checkout moves Cart → Address → Pay with sibling classes.
Outcome: next/prev manage the active step without re-rendering the list.
