What is this?
fadeIn/fadeOut animate opacity then adjust display; fadeToggle flips. Good for toasts and soft panels when motion is brief.
Why should you care?
QueryVerse success toasts should appear and leave without jarring jumps.

Run Example »
Edit the code below and click Run to see the result in Toolliyo’s live editor.
What happened?
- Always consider .stop() before re-triggering fades.
- Prefer CSS transitions for complex motion.
- Keep durations under ~300ms for UI chrome.
Practice next
- Click Show toast repeatedly and observe stop behavior.
- Remove delay and compare.
- Try fadeToggle on a help panel.
- fadeTo(200, 0.5) for dimming a modal backdrop.
- Respect reduced motion with a CSS media query later.
Remember
fade* animates opacity. stop queues before re-entry. Short durations feel snappy.
UPI success toast
A PhonePe merchant QueryVerse settlement screen flashes “Payment recorded” after each confirm.
Outcome: fadeIn + delay + fadeOut gives readable, non-blocking feedback.
